Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Greek Lifts, Inc. ("Greek Lifts," "we," "us," or "our") and govern your use of the Greek Lifts mobile application, the website at greeklifts.app, and any related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, downloading the app, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility and accounts

The Service is available only to individuals who are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract. You must register through your chapter and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your account, including all payments authorized through it. Notify us immediately at support@greeklifts.app if you believe your credentials have been compromised.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Impersonate another person, misrepresent your chapter affiliation, or misrepresent your role within a chapter.
• Use the Service to harass, threaten, defraud, or otherwise harm other users.
• Attempt to interfere with, disable, or compromise the integrity or security of the Service, including by reverse engineering, scraping, or introducing malicious code.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercialize access to the Service outside the bounds of these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without notice when required to protect other users or the integrity of the Service.

3. Chapter accounts and exec authority

A Greek Lifts account is tied to a specific fraternity or sorority chapter. The chapter's exec board has administrative authority over its members, including the ability to invite or remove members, set the shift schedule, issue or clear fines, and configure chapter-level settings. Greek Lifts is not a party to the relationship between you and your chapter and does not adjudicate internal chapter disputes.

4. Shifts, swaps, and member responsibilities

The Service helps members schedule, claim, swap, and pay one another to take on designated-driver shifts. Members are responsible for following through on shift commitments they accept through the Service. Once you claim or accept a shift, you agree to perform it in accordance with your chapter's policies. Greek Lifts does not employ drivers, does not provide transportation services, and is not responsible for the conduct of any member, including the safe operation of a vehicle. Your chapter's exec board is responsible for setting and enforcing the standards that apply to its sober-driver program.

5. Paid shift transfers

When you list a shift for a bounty, another eligible member may claim the shift and earn the bounty. Listings have a minimum bounty of $25. When a listing is claimed:

• Your saved payment method is charged the bounty amount plus a 10% service fee.
• The 10% service fee covers payment processing, payout costs, and platform operations. It is non-refundable once a listing has been claimed.
• The bounty (less Stripe fees) is paid to the taker via Stripe Connect and typically settles in 1–2 business days for U.S. bank accounts.

Members who receive payouts must complete Stripe's identity verification ("Know Your Customer") process before payouts can be released. Greek Lifts does not control payout timing once funds have been released to Stripe.

6. Chapter subscription

The Greek Lifts chapter subscription is billed at $199 per chapter per month and renews automatically each month until cancelled. The chapter president (or the exec member designated as the billing contact) is responsible for payment. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued for unused portions of a billing period. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time from the exec dashboard or by emailing support@greeklifts.app.

7. Refunds

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 60 days of the charge and we will review the request. Bounties that have already been paid out to a member cannot be reversed by Greek Lifts, and the 10% service fee is non-refundable once a listing has been claimed.

8. Stripe Connect terms

Greek Lifts uses Stripe Connect to process payments and payouts. By using paid shift transfers — whether as the listing member or the taker — you also agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement and the Stripe Services Agreement, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference. Stripe may require additional information from you to enable payouts, and Greek Lifts has no ability to override Stripe's verification requirements.

9. User-generated content

Any content you submit through the Service — including chapter customizations, shift notes, and messages — remains your content, but you grant Greek Lifts a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, display, and process that content as necessary to operate the Service. You represent that you have the right to submit the content and that it does not violate the rights of any third party.

10. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, designs, logos, and content provided by us, is owned by Greek Lifts and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of our intellectual property to you.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting your account from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, if required by law, or to protect other users or the integrity of the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as payment obligations, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. GREEK LIFTS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, AND DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE CONDUCT OR PERFORMANCE OF ANY USER.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GREEK LIFTS AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO GREEK LIFTS IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Greek Lifts and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New Castle County, Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you through the app or by email before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
